Human Resources

Helping you manage the company’s most important resources: its people

When Do I Call the EAP?

Workplace Solutions understands the challenges you face every day as an HR professional. We know people can be complex and that your role is to help make sure the people of your organization have every opportunity to be healthy, productive and successful. This isn’t always easy and sometimes knowing how and when to help can be difficult to navigate. Have you ever encountered a situation where an employee:

  • Is having performance problems due to issues occurring in their personal lives?
  • Is demonstrating behaviors that may indicate a substance abuse problem?
  • Comes forward to share life stressors happening with family members that are impacting their work performance?
  • Melts down on the job and needs more professional, clinical help than Human Resources is qualified to offer?

If any one of the above situations sounds familiar, then hopefully you know to contact Workplace Solutions. We tell all HR professionals that if they aren’t sure if they should call us, call anyway.  Let us help you assess the issue, provide objective guidance and direct you to the right resources. Nine times out of ten, your Employee Assistance Program can help in some way.

How We Can Help:

From EAP counseling services to crisis management, our team of licensed behavioral experts and organizational consultants can design and implement solutions to address your specific needs.

Workplace Solutions EAP offers confidential consultation, short-term counseling and referrals for employees, their dependent family and household members. Our number one goal is to help a struggling employee or family member restore well-being and productivity. Common concerns include depression, anxiety, stress related to work and home, grief/loss, family, relationships, substance abuse, financial challenges and more.

Support begins with your first call to Workplace Solutions. Our compassionate, licensed counselors use a problem-solving approach to understand an issue, and help you develop and implement a real world solution. Work-life resources and referrals are also available for financial, legal, child, eldercare and daily living concerns.

We specialize in Crisis Management and know how to help minimize the risk within your organization.  Available 24/7, our team is trained in crisis response and on-site trauma response. We help your organization recover and return to normal productivity by providing guidance to managers and HR. We are experts in providing the emotional and psychological support needed to help employees cope. It is never easy, but Workplace Solutions has many years of experience in managing through these difficult times.

Learning & Development is available to improve your workforce’s ability to meet business goals through optimizing individual or team performance, using the learning format that works best for the situation. Monthly webinars are available to all employees live and on-demand. We can also collaborate with you to provide onsite training. Topics include professional development, wellness, and a range of work-life challenges. We will collaborate in applying Workplace Solutions’ capabilities to complement your current training and wellness initiatives.

We can provide Coaching services for key contributors within your organization. We have helped front-line managers to C-suite employees maximize their talent and achieve results. Our approach is practical and concrete, focusing on how employees can attain tangible business outcomes with a strong development plan.

Health and Wellness consultation and services are available to you. We believe organizational health begins with the individual. Our approach starts with understanding the key issues preventing optimal health and well-being. We can then develop programs to stay in front of these issues. We will develop custom solutions or use our experience and expertise to complement your existing Health and Wellness initiatives. Either way, our formula remains the same: healthy individuals equal healthy organizations.

Your HR Toolbox:

We also provide HR with an “HR Toolbox.”  This toolbox is designed to provide relevant, on-demand support with non-clinical issues; it is easy to use the information in whatever format is most helpful for you. It also includes downloadable fact sheets addressing some common issues (e.g. grief, trauma, etc.) which can be helpful when educating yourself/others on how to deal with difficult situations.

Use the toolbox information in a proactive, preventative way and/or as a resource to have on hand when an issue occurs. Just click on the toolbox topics below to access needed information.  If you don’t see what you’re looking for, click here and check out all the resources available on our Resources You Can Use page.
